We’re JUST having chicken.  If the beef isn’t that great, go with the fish!

We are not serving beef. We are having a buffet and beef is too difficult to get right for everyone, so we chose Cornish game hens and wild sockeye salmon.

I voted Chicken and Beef only because I feel that they are wedding staples. I don’t eat fish and while I often choose the chicken option at weddings, Fiance (who also doesn’t eat fish) always opts for the beef.

We’re having a chicken option, a salmon option & a steak option.. my fiance didn’t care about anything with the wedding menu as long as he could eat steak.

We’re having a buffet so it’ll be a beef, chicken, seafood, and pasta choice.  Along with a variety of other things. 🙂

We’re doing beef, fish, and crabcakes as the options…we really didn’t like the chicken!

I’m looking at this from the catering contact’s point of view (I used to be a catering manager haha!), but I hate hate hate plated beef entrees.  It’s so hard for the venue and frustrating for the guests because everyone likes their steaks cooked at different temperatures.  Some people like it to be what I consider still moo-ing, and others won’t eat it if it’s even remotely pink.  It’s virtually impossible to please everyone with a steak…a quarter of the people send them back to be cooked again, and a quarter just won’t eat them.  If you’re doing a buffet it’s not as bad because if it’s not cooked to the guest’s liking, they can choose something else.  That being said…  🙂  My fiance and I are doing a plated entree choice of chicken, seafood (not sure on shrimp or fish yet), and a vegetarian option.

We did plated meals and offered a choice of chicken or pork. None of the beef options even sounded worth tasting to us!
