I found my venue by looking a vacation rentals. We are renting a cabin for two nights. Of course that means you have to do everything yourself because the venue isn’t MADE for weddings but, there are so many plus sides!

1) Area of choice

2) Place for you and bridal party to sleep

2) Kitchen for caterer to use on site

3) Your own timeline!

Look at vrbo.com and type in state/city and pick your options. You can ask for as many rooms as you want and for as many days as you want.

This is our venue in Payson Arizona: http://www.vrbo.com/380196#calendar

Before we decided to just elope the hours our venue would let us stay were our main priority & like you said most had to be out (like lights out, no-one left) by midnight. We had much better luck looking into restaurants & bars, most of them would stay open until last call (2am here in CA) for us so long as they had a separate area so the rest of the restaurant could close up. So I’d look into brewery’s (where we had decided on), wineries, bars, clubs, restaurants, etc.

If you want to stay past last call you probably need to rent a private residence or something similar.
