I am finally sitting down and trying to find a venue that fits our meager budget. Our budget for the entire wedding is no more than 5k. So I don’t want to spend more than 1000 on the venue itself. We were planning on getting married October 4, 2012…but I’m not sure how availabilty will be now. I live in Roswell, but definitely willing to travel since most of my guests will be from out of state. I want an outdoor venue than can accomodate about 80 guests. I have been searching for a while but I can’t seem to find anything that won’t tip our budget over 10k. Does anyone know of any place we could use? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you want the reception to be outside as well or just the ceremony? My friend got married at Old Towne Athletic Club in Marietta year before last & it was really nice. Also, when Fiance & I were looking for a reception venue, we came across Pinetree Country club in Kennesaw. It was very nice & the venue rental was only $600 at the time.

You might want to look into the nature centers of the Chattahoochee. It can be soooo pretty there and if I remember correctly (I’ve been helping my soon-to-be-sister-in-law look for venures as well) it wasn’t too pricy. I was going to Suggest Marietta Square (fairly cheap) but I don’t know if it can accomodate 80 people…

I would look into the state parks if I were you… Red Top is beautiful! Good luck!

I was looking into this myself. There are some great all inclusives in GA that are about 3-4,000 if you do middle of the road packages.
Like 665 in hiram. It’s gorgeous, too. And the lady there is so friendly. It’s by a lake.
or is it 655?
Anyways, I was looking at http://www.pinehurstcaterers.com. Pinehurst is 1/2 inclusive. A midrange package looks to be about $2,400, with food. but then you might have to add extras.
The castle weddings is a nice place. I went there with my brother and his wife when they were planning. They are also in about the 4,000 range, but that lady really takes care of you.
Lastly, the riverwalk is completely DYI, but it’s $500, by the river and you get chairs and tables.

The Mcgairty house is SUPER good for a deal. And it’s beautiful.
