Hello bees 🙂
This is my very first post. My fiance and I just got engaged and we are on a TIGHT budget (around 100 guest with a budget of 10K). We have been searching high and low for a cheap venue but haven’t had much luck. Ideally, we would like somewhere that will allow us to cater our own food and drinks (I’m Korean so we wanted to do Korean food and most preferred cater places wouldn’t be able to accommodate us) and provide tables and chairs for under 1K (significantly under 1K if linens aren’t included). I know I’m asking for a lot here. 😛 The closest we got was the Aqua Club in Kenmore. Any one know if any other places? Or know anyone who has had a wedding at the Aqua Club? I’m trying to get an idea of how the place would look once it’s spruced up.

I don’t know if you are still looking, but if you are open to a Friday night this one might be good…
They have a list of preferred caterers, but you can also bring in outside food.

If you are open to unique venues we are using the Raygun lounge in Capital Hill. We are using 1 room for the reception and one for the ceremony. All day until 1 am, fully staffed including security for only $1000. Granted we only have 50 guests for our classy-geeky wedding it looks sapcious enough to accomodate more. They are having a promotional kickstarter event for that price for the next 4 days. Then you can schedule your planned wedding date. Good luck!

Okay this is going to sound crazy but I too have been researching cheap venues in Seattle … Have you thought of a Seattle park? Many seTtle parks and rec areas have tables and chairs … Just need linens and usually rent for 160/hr or 80/hr depending on the day time etc. I isn’t know if your still looking but it’s worth a look.

@Aznangelgurl: Thanks for the input! Fiance and I decided to go with the Aqua club since they were well within budget and totally flexible. 🙂

@Aznangelgurl: Won’t you have to rent a tent? Since planning our wedding while living in Seattle, I always wonder how the heck brides have weddings here since it’s always raining. We had our e-party last July and it sprinkled in the morning, cleared up for the party…but still…the raiin!!!
