Our ceremony venue is a historic home which boasts 4 fireplaces, 2 parlors, and a grand entertaining kitchen/formal dining room. We’ll have our ceremony in front of the home, with our cocktail hour in the home.

If you look to the right in the picture, you’ll see a brick building, that’s where our reception will be held. It’s really nothing special – pretty bland & blank on the inside. We chose it because it’s within walking distance, had plenty of chairs & tables available for use. It also included really cute rustic bathrooms, a kitchen with a bar area attatched, and a little outdoor patio area.

The historical home cost us $80 to rent with another $80 deposit, and the reception hall cost us $375 for the day before to set up, and the day of.

RenoSweeney24:  Ours is in the little recreation town in Murfreesboro, TN. It’s history is part of the reason we chose it.

This is the inside of the chapel, it is very small. Only 14 pews (7 on either side), and another bee told me they can only hold about 3 or 4 people per pew.

The outside

One of the buildings there and previously mentioned bee shared some photos with me and she had some pics made in that water wheel.

It is a whole village with gas stations, houses, school house, etc. I can not wait to actually pay it a visist in Aug. I am so glad I had so much help in choosing it from the people who run the place at the city, our photographer, and the very helpful bee.

Its a barn on a big farm where they have put put zip line and corn maz. Etc (where if guests at any point in the day can choose to take part in at a discounted price) the outside is beautiful the inside is pretty unglamorous with its metal walls (the side wood things will be gone by then) but we are getting it for an awesome price and are taking the saved money on decorations so here is close to what we are doing to it … We will be covering the ceiling and walls with fabric closer to what the white ones look like but in purple and blues … There is also more room behind me

RenoSweeney24:  I love venue threads! But you should show us yours, too!

Here’s a few photos of where we are holding our reception:

(This is the cocktail area space. We love the view!)

We’re having our ceremony and reception outdoors in early November 2015 (we’re in southern California so FX that the weather stays moderate like it has been!)

This is the ceremony area:

And the reception area:

There are so many things we love about this venue (that aren’t pictured): there is a large, beautiful koi pond which trickles down and around the ceremony space. They’re just finishing up the large barn on the property – maybe for indoor reception or cocktail hour – they have 3 huge fireplaces all around the reception spaces and a fire pit for s’mores (and ambiance lol). There’s so many more little things that make this venue perfect for us. And on top of all of that, the view is amazing and the price was right!! We’re so so excited to get married here!

RenoSweeney24:  Thank you! Your venue is breathtaking! I actually looked up where you were and got  a little venue jealousy  lol. S’mores pits are the greatest!!
