My hubby and I have been married 5 years, he bought me a beautiful engagent ring from a pawn shop when he was 16, and gave it to me 4 years later. I was in love with it. When I was pregnant with my little love 11 months ago I let my fingers get too swollen and they had to remove my rings by cutting them in pieces.
The jeweler wants over $1,000 to fix and we wanted to upgrade anyhow.
I found this GORGEOUS vera wang ring from Kohl’s. OG price $2,500, on sale for $840. 30% + kohls cash. I got a killer deal… somewhere in the $600 range
It cane in the mail today and it’s missing a side stone, they said they would replace the whole ring, but it feels somewhat cheap and I don’t want to get screwed. I know obviously it isn’t going to be the best quality as it comes from Kohl’s and I paid what I paid for it. But does anyone have any experience with Vera Wang from Kohl’s?

This is a genuine question, are these rings genuine Vera Wang or imitations.? It looks very different from the Vera rings i have seen IRL?
Congrats on the upgrade and sorry its not quite going to plan, good luck

A while back another person posted about a Vera Wang ring that she received from Kohls & it had missing diamonds and they returned and still had issues with the replacement ring. I think you can search the boards and find her posts.

im taking it to a reputable jeweler in my area to have it looked at before I return this one.

They are “genuine” Vera Wang in the same way Vera Wang for Davids Bridal is genuine. Yes, her company probably designed the ring. But then the other company buys the design and puts it into MASS production with cheap manufacturing and materials. They aren’t knock off they are just cheaper versions of the real thing and this comes with quality problems.

That explains the difference in quality that is quite visible . The price was rather incredible too so i guess that leads to the old adage “you get what you pay for ” Good luck to the OP, they are beautiful designs but i hope you finally get what you want
