I just thought I would share a great experience I had purchasing a veil at the last minute! I searched high and low for a lovely veil and believe me, you can get them for $25 to $3000. The difference, just as in clothing or dresses, is the cut and the fabric.
A couple good tips: Be sure to ask for silk tulle, or Tuelle, or Lace from Soltice (a company who makes lace for Chanel, Dior, and other haute couture power house brands). These are the most expensive. Then expect certain prices.
If you’re looking for something less, you will find it too. I think the worse thing you can do is to be uninformed about the fabric and where it is from – sometimes people who don’t know about this sort of thing can overpay. So be aware brides! Ask the questions and make sure you pay for what you get.
Vera Wang has beautiful veils from $150 upwards – they are cut beautifully and made of high quality material. They do custom as well. Read her section in her book called Vera on Weddings where she discusses veils, lengths, cuts, designs, and which go with which dress.
