A photo I took today of the absolutely stunning train! I’m in love with it. If only I could walk backwards into the ceremony, hehe.

@peachbee: thanks for the recommendation I’ll def have to ask our church about that! Hopefully it will suffice!

@Vera girl: I could stare at the gorgeous train all day!

@Vera Girl:   I finally rec’d the VW White grosgrain sashes and I think they look cheaper than the VW grosgrain sash.  The VW White grosgrain has a sheen to it that I don’t remember the VW sash having.  However, my dress finally came in over the weekend, so I’ll be trying the dress on tomorrow at the bridal boutique and can take pics of both on the dress.   Will try to post!

@Vera Girl: Gorgeous!

@suzychang76:  If you could post pics of both that would be so helpful, because I have been thinking of the VW vs. VW White grosgrain sash as well. Thanks so much in advance! 🙂

Are any Gemma brides out there wearing a black sash or any black accents? I really love Vera’s ivory dresses with black sashes and would love to see pictures of real brides with black accents. Please share.

@TXBRIDE2013:  I am really not a fan of lace, so I much prefer the Gemma. Also, the photo of the Gemma has a very strong flash, which washes out the dress and makes it look whiter and less detailed than it truly is. The belt also suffers from the flash, making it stand out too much. The photo of the Lazaro, however, is much better and thus made people vote overwhelmingly in favor of that dress. As for the popularity of the Gemma, we all see it everywhere because we are brides and are on these blogs frequently. No one at your wedding will have seen it on anyone else, though, because it is a truly special (and expensive!!) dress. So don’t worry–you made a great decision!

The biggest drama with my accessories has been with my clutch. Long story short, the one I wanted won’t come out in time. Got this instead:

@techie:  I’m not sure how I feel about the look with Gemma.  Love the purse, but it doesn’t seem ‘wedding’ to me, if that makes sense.  I’d recommend this..

@TXBRIDE2013:  Very pretty but that bag seems too literal with the matching rosettes? I definitely want to stay away from anything ivory too.

I’m not a very bridal kind of girl. 😉 This bag is very me, but thank you for the suggestion!

@techie:  I just saw the other post you posted and I LOVE the other clutch!  I think that would look amazing with your shoes.

@techie:  I am struggling with my clutch too! Ugh. The great thing about the one you bought is that you will totally be able to get so much use out of it after the wedding – it’s a beautiful bag! Have you had your final fitting yet so you can try everything together? I bet it is all going to come together beautifully!! So exciting!

One of the problems I am having is that I am a bit too practical, so I bought myself gold sparkly shoes rather than silver, since I thought I’d get more use out of gold sparkly shoes after the wedding. My concern is that I want to wear silver jewellery (earrings and hair comb) to match my engagement/wedding ring. Do you think it is a big deal if my shoes don’t match my jewellery? And if I have gold shoes and silver jewellery, should my cluth match my shoes or my jewellery? Ahhhh, decisions decisions. Haha.

I am very close to placing an order for Gemma and just received the size chart.  Can you girls share your experiences with sizes, measurements etc…???
