Hi everyone!

I have been reading through all your posts, and have fallen in love with the Gemma gown.  I am a very petite short bride (5’1″ tall and usually wear size 0/2).  Is there anyone with similar measurements that have had their wedding, and would like to sell their Gemma? Or will be selling their gown very soon?  I could wear up to a 5 inch heel if needed (so a maximum of the dress cut to 5’6″).

Please PM me!!!!

@Marryanne007:  You won’t have any problems dancing in it. I got married in June and got a little warm while we were taking pictures but it was perfect on the dance floor. No problem dancing in it at all.

i will be selling my dress for 3.5k or best offer. it is a size 4 and i bought it last july at the vera wang sample sale in los angeles.  it has never been altered or used.  i recently purchased another dress that i will be wearing instead.  however, it does have some dirt on the bottow since it is a sample.

Hey Ladies!  As I’m getting ready for my 3rd fitting, I had a couple questions.

Brides who’s already worn it- did you take the full dress off everytime you went to the bathroom?

Also- I’ve tried to stalk down as many videos as I can- but how was the dress dancing and moving?  It’s been hard because I’m having a lot taken in so I can’t get a grasp if I’m actually going to be able to dance, walk, and function in the dress.

Whatever the answer- doens’t really matter….I LOVE THE DRESS!

@ChiCityBride:  Believe it or not, I only went to the bathroom ONCE the entire day/night! And that was early on in the day, just after I had my hair and makeup done. I had to completely undress, put on my robe, go to the bathroom, and then get back into the dress.

I didn’t go again all day after that. It’s a tight fit and there’s just so much tulle! You will need your Bridesmaid or Best Man to help somehow…

I did my first dance in the dress, unbustled. It wasn’t too bad, but probably a lot easier if it was bustled, as I had to really swoosh around so it wouldn’t get caught between our legs.

I think adding more crinoline would help with moving around. I found it hard at first and was very scared of tripping over. My BMs had to hold the train and I held the front when we were walking around for photos. After a while I got the hang of it and it was fine.

The scariest thing is walking down a flight of stairs, but if you have someone to hold onto, then it’s fine.

It’s so much fun to wear!

@mjm2012 – thanks for the info!

A couple more questions – how much is the dress retail with the blizzard beading?  Were alterations an additional expense or included?

Is it really hard to get into and out of?  I have one dress change (wearing the cheongsam/qipao for the cocktail party and then changing back to the gemma for the ceremony).

Thanks so much for the information, I am in love and can’t wait to go try it on.

@Marryanne007:  $6,500 with blizzard beading $5,500 without beading) and alterations are extra.

The dress is so easy to get in and out of as it’s literally just a zip up the back. I just stepped into it and zipped it up. It takes absolutely no time at all. I was able to get dressed myself without too much help (except for getting the zip all the way up).

You will be able to change in and out of it very easily.

@val19flynn:  You look gorgeous! Love the pictures. Is your veil Vera Wang? If so, what colour is it? Ivory or dark ivory?
