I have a question for all Gemma brides, did you all have your alterarions done in the salon or use an outside vendor? If so, did your experience go well? Im considering using an outside vendor but I am extremely nervous about it.

@Gemmabride Thank you so much, no my veil was not VW I wanted a certain style. I bought it on a US site, its ivory and the colour was perfect with the dress I ordered samples first as my first veil I purchased didn’t work out.  I can send you the site i you’re interested πŸ™‚ hope all your plans are coming together.

@CaboBride0214:  I had my alterations done in Ireland by an outside dress maker and they were perfect she did a great job and the dress was perfect on the day πŸ™‚

@val19flynn:  Thanks for the info. I’ve ordered the ivory and dark ivory VW veils because I wasn’t sure which looks best. As veragirl suggested I’ll probably go with the ivory but have to wait till they get here and I can try on withthe dress. Thanks again!

Girls, I need major help.  I have an appointment at Vera in a few weeks.  I think I am squarely a size 6 right now (37-28-38) but I am normally 10-15 pounds lighter and a (35-26-36) which I think would make me a 4 in the gemma.  My wedding isn’t until September and I know I can lose the weight by then (I had been at my lower weight for most of my life, and ive just been lazy lately).  When I go in, should I buy the 6 or the 4??  I’m thinking I would need minimal alterations ifI bought the 4, whereas I would need major ones if I buy the 6 now and lose the weight i know i will lose.  Help, any thoughts??

This was a size chart I received in April, hope this helps if it still applies.
