Ladies,

I had my 3rd fitting over the weekend.  I wasn’t able to get many pictures, but now that I look back at the 2 pictures, I am having a bit of some concern.  Does the dress look like it it too tight?  I feel like it does not show off any of my curves.  Should she loosen it a little at my hips?  What do y’all think?  Or maybe it is the belt that I have on that makes it look that way?  Also the rosettes at the bottom are looking a little droopy.  I am 5’1, wearing 5 inch feels and she had to raise the skirt to adjust the length at the bottom, but now I kind of feel as if it is raised too high. And I feel my rosettes are look different, because she had to raise the skirt. Please let me know your thoughts.

These two pictures below are from my 3rd fitting over the weekend:

And this picture below was from the very first time I brought it in to get altered, which I think looks a lot better than the way it does now:

Please help!

@AutumnLove:  Wow love your video! After seeing your wedding video I now have to look into getting a videographer.

The Gemma looked amazing on you and you seemed to be comfortable and able to walk/dance.

@kn8973:  make sure it is comfortable to sit and walk in, it looks pretty tight at the hips and thighs, I m 5’5 wore 3″ heels cuz my hubby is not too tall, I didn’t have to lift the bottom,  my seamstress just lifted individual rosettes at the front because I also don’t like the flare out part being too high, it also seemed to make the rosettes less droopy

@DrMrsYu:  I think I am- the cost of the dress is too high for my budget unfortunately

Did anyone see the gorgeous red Gemma on Beauty and the Beast the other night? I couldn’t find a full length shot but OMG. And it looked so stunning when she was walking in it…

@VwBride2b:  A while back I kept seeing a Gemma on eBay Australia, it was for a good price too (around $2000 I think). Maybe have a search for past auctions, you might be able to get in touch with the seller and work something out.

I bought my preowned Vera (Georgina) from the U.S. I’m Aussie but currently live in Beijing, and I actually bought my beautiful dress from a lovely MOB who contacted me on the Bee (after I posted about considering the Georgina). All in all it was a smooth transaction – make sure you use Paypal and that the invoice states very clearly what you’re buying (brand, style, size, condition, any extras like sashes or veils etc) so you’ve covered in the worst case scenario. And get very precise measurements too – somehow my dress was a couple of inches too small and I suspect it’s because my measurements were a bit wonkly. Thankfully I’m losing weight! 😉

I also got two other dresses (both Reem Acra) from the U.S., one pre-owned. One was a bit of a disaster because the seller didn’t disclose a number of faults with the dress, so make sure you get really clear photos and descriptions.

Shipping-wise, USPS Express took 3-4 days to reach Beijing from the U.S., Priority took a little longer – maybe a week or so. Hope that helps!
