I’ve been stagnant for a few years career wise as I helped out with my family’s business. I was looking for something new and a few months ago I debated going to school for hairstyling. I’ve always enjoyed it and I genuinely think I’ll do very well. I miss working with people, I’m no good behind a computer in an empty office. Well, I’m very pleased to say that after a few months of research, I picked a school and a two year program and all I have to do is register and I’ll be starting immediately! I’m excited and nervous!

My mom and aunt are retired beauticians. And I’m marrying into a family with one and a barber too. My mom and aunt loved the social atmosphere and are still very good friends w/some of their former co-workers (from ages ago!) I think it’s a good choice.
Best of luck!

@Jellybones: How exciting! I hope you love it! I have a few friends who are hair stylists and they’re pretty happy with it. If I wasn’t Shakey-Hands McGee then I might have done the same thing. No one would want me to cut their hair! lol

@howtobeawife: Thank you both! I’m a little nervous for change but I hope I love it too.
