@sarahb83:  It’s likely that it is indeed a true positive. However, I have heard that blue dye tests aren’t as accurate as pink dye. I would test again tonight or tomorrow morning to be sure. GL!

I would be running out and grabbing a pink dye test stat! LOL I would also test again tonight (only because I know I wouldn’t be able to hold off until tomorrow morning). Good luck and keep us posted!

I’ve gotten false positives using the equate (walmart) brand blue dye tests.  I used two and got very faint, but definitely blue, lines but when I used a FRER on the third day there was no line and AF came the next day.  If you’re 13dpo you could probably test tonight with a red dye test.  If you can hold your urine for 3/4 hours beforehand and not drink any liquids for 2 hours before that’s generally a pretty good concentration.  Good luck either way!

In my personal experience, I had a really really faint blue dye positive right around the same DPO as you. Two days later I had a BFP with a FRER. So I’d test again in a couple of days, but you are probably pregnant! Best of luck.

I’d try with a pink dye test to be sure or a FRER (super reliable).

I’d definitely recommend testing again. I was convinced I was preg. this month (we are not TTC) – extreme nausea, almost puked once, super sore boobs and very crampy. Tested with a Clear Blue (blue dye test) and got a very, very faint positive line. Tested the next day with a FRER and it was definitely negative and my period showed up the next day. Turned out my new BC pill was not agreeing with me + there is a flu bug going around, but I sure was fooled. Embarassed

Hope you get the answer you want!! 🙂

The really bad blue dye tests are the “+” ones – the two lines are generally though to be more reliable, but pick up a FRER and test with FMU tomorrow.  Then you will know for sure.  Good luck – I hope you get the answer you are hoping for.

Definitely try the digital early response tests they give you a Yes or No answer rather than having to figure out the lines

Test again with the pink dye. False positives are not very common. I have used that same target brand and got a VERY faint positive and I was in fact pregnant.
