What is the next step you took after booking your venue? We booked last night! So exciting!!!!!! It was such a hard decision until I found the place we booked… then it was a cake walk- no anxiety- no venue regret! So thankful!
- I emailed our officiant this morning
- Plan to start working on booking the vendors we need (DJ, florist, photographer, videographer)
- Printed menus for rehearsal dinner (I want to book very early because we are getting married during the holiday season)

As soon as we had our date set in stone we booked our photographer. It was almost two years in advance, so most everything else has been done at a slow pace.

Lol I’ve not done anything yet. We are eloping and my plan is to not do much until next month. In November I’ll purchase my dress, accessories, etc. then in December I/we will check in with our venues “planner” to make decisions on flowers, etc. there isn’t much to do thankfully when you decide to elope.

Daughter #1 co-ordinated the booking of her venue with the availability of the only band they considered. Daughter #2 booked the venue and then set-up room blocks, because the location involved an overnight stay, for most of the guests, on a summer, holiday weekend.

photos came next for us since we had already narrowed our search to 3-4 people when we booked out venue (since we knew the area we wanted to get married in)
next up was the food (we had three catering options to choose from) and the band

After we secured the venue, we met with our officiant.

I got the dress. Since we were 6.5 months out after we booked, I didn’t have nearly as much time to look as I had assumed!

Venue, church, photographer were the big three for us (venue provided catering). Dress followed shortly after that.

After we booked the venue, our caterer was next. Food is top priority for us 😉

After we booked our venue we booked DJ, then cake, photographer and bouquets last. I bought my dress 1st.

I already had my dress sorted before we even picked a venue lol.
After our venue we booked our DJ and photobooth since our date is in the Christmas period.

Our venue included catering and cake so the next thing we did was the photographer. There were people I contacted in July of 2014 for September of 2015 that were already booked so I wanted to make sure I was able to book a photographer I liked.
