FI’s job has peaks and valleys and right now is a very busy time for them. This isn’t the case with my job. Our busy time is November-December. My friends are mostly in college and right now is very busy for them also with midterms.
This leaves me… very lonely.
What do you do, bees, when your Fiance is super busy and so are your friends?

Volunteer! But make sure it’s social, rather than solitary, volunteer work. Help cook or serve food at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen, to take just one example (that’s what I do!). Or spend a few hours a week helping out at an animal shelter. Or reading to kids at a library. Or…lots of other things!

I’m an only child so I grew up doing lots of solitary activities like reading, scrapbooking, etc. So when Darling Husband isn’t around that’s what I tend to do. Or shop 😉

usually it brings me to hello wedding bee and also chick flicks at home!! or shopping sprees.. and reading and all the good stuff. I like my alone time… the more alone time I have I tend to miss my hubby more but I know its not forever.

i can feel you, a lot of my close gf’s live out of state and with our crazy schedules it’s hard for Darling Husband and i to spend any time together…
even in our dating days when i would have my lonely times… i’d try to be proactive and do things that i enjoyed 🙂
reading good books, BATHINGGGG i loveeee to relax in a hot soaking tub, started scrapbooking, cooked trying diff recipes, went running with my pups, cleaned/organized a lot (my old apt). etc.
keep your mind busy and not just with mind numbing tv but different activities! and hang in there it will pass!

definitely take a nice long shower….agreed with reading books, volunteering…I like to write in my journal, edit photos, organize, clean (its relaxing!!), watch mindless television…call my mom to chat…take a nap…I love my alone time sometimes 🙂

Right now I do a lot of wedding diy projects lol. Also I watch a lot of reality tv and spend time here on wb and on facebook.

ha, this is why i’ve been on weddingbee so much lately! i like to cook (even if i’m just sticking the food in tupperware for later), catch up with friends on the phone, and watch embarassingly bad (but oh so good) tv during my alone time.

Even if people are very busy, you can try to spread out your interactions so that no one person is overburdened but you still get lots of interaction. Perhaps a phone date with a friend? I also like the idea of volunteering with something to do with animals or children especially, or whatever floats your boat.

I’m the same way! Home alone tonight b/c the Fiance is still working. I crack down on DIY projects, surf the net for more wedding ideas, clean the house or just relax! I do allocate my time differently when my Fiance is here b/c I so enjoy spending time with him but if I have the right attitude I can get alot of things crossed off the list when he is busy working so our time together can be spent TOGETHER. 🙂 Hope this helps!
