It’s very pretty, but I’m not sure I’d trust it to stand the test of time.
Charming, though I would be concerned about using it for everyday wear. That said, many don’t wear their engagement rings everyday after they get married, just the plain band
mrsmccabe09: If it is what you want, it was definitely not what I was expecting when I opened the thread. My concern would be what you would wear as a band with it.
Taiki: I am not sure that you can say MOST. Most women I know (and that is a good many) wear both.
Cool ring. I wouldn’t wear it daily though.
MrsUPS: I think you will find that I said “many”, which is not the same as “most”
OP, chat with a jeweller, you can probably fit a small wedding band under that setting (same width as your current ring’s band), however, as I said before, the ring is charming, but may not hold up to intense wear.
I love it! Turqoise plus a fun flower design? Double score!
Sorry it wouldnt let me add text in the original post.. posted from my phone. Little background.. my engagement ring was a gorgeous dainty rounded square halo illusion ring. 1/5th carat. I ended up being horribly allergic to the gold. It was heart breaking. I had some random stand ins for about two years after we were married, and on christmas three years ago dh surprised me with a 2.62 tcw three stone princess cut and matching band. only problem, it was cz. we had no money ( made a major move and life change) at the time. and it was the sweetest gesture hes ever done. got down on one knee and gave it to me christmas morning. and when I say problem, its only that cz stones dont last. it never mattered and i never passed it off as real… its clouding pretty badly and needs to be put away in the ol’ jewelry box. Im at a point where, in the last year, life has turned upside down, and we are renewing our vows. I’ve also become quite the bohemian within that time frame and turquoise is my favorite stone. I know it will not last forever.. and hell, I dont know that any ring I get will lol… and Im not comfortable with a diamond.. the whole blood diamond thing and expense really bothers me….. the turquoise ring is an option im considering….
and im having a very hard time parting with my cz set. the emotion and sentiment behind it… ugh… dh picked it out all by himself.. and its gorgeous. he says to pick what I want… but thats not what i want. i want what he chose…considering buying the same set from the same store to 1. spare his feelings… because I dont really want anything else…. 2. it would solve the clouding issue since it’ll be new. and when we renew our vows, then we can go down the road of finding something permenant.
