No, only because of possible allergies/asthma.

I wouldn’t because since it’s such close quarters in a typical interview, you wouldn’t want to overwhelm anyone with a strong scent.  Especially if an interviewer has a perfume allergy… well, he might not be looked at favorably after an allergic reaction. 😉

I would skip it!  No one will notice if he’s not wearing it, but if it’s too strong or whatever, it may work against him.

It’s actually one of those “rules” of job interviewing: No cologne or perfume.  Ever.

I don’t think you are supposed to but I just wanted to add my 2 cents 🙂 I got an awesome bank job while wearig some really good smelling juicy couture purfume. The guy interviewing me thought it was the best smelling stuff he had ever smelled and went into this whole discussion about perfum and cologne lol. I swear I got the job because of that perfum and its been my lucky perfum ever since! My Fiance also got his awesome job at an airline and was wearing cologne. I think if you do just make sure it is a tiny amount so that someone can smell it but its not going to suffocate them or make their office smell the whole day lol.

They actually say don’t wear perfume/cologne for interviews due to allergies, and because it can subconsciously turn someone off if they don’t like the scent you are wearing.

Good luck to him!

Most progressive employers have a “no-scent” policy these days.
