It could be something very simple like joggers nipple, but you should go to your doctor and get yourself checked out

@aliciaspinnet:  Is joggers nipple where your nipple gets nearly rubbed to an uncomfortable level and is really sore and then kind of itchy as it “heals”, and with a sore breast from jogging?

I ask because I get the “rubbed nipple” thing a LOT, and no matter how much I try to prevent it it will still happen. Not every time, but a lot. I tried taping my nipples, but that seemed to make things worse almost. =/

@aliciaspinnet:  Thanks. Do you know any prevention? I mean it goes away after a while, but I’d love to not have it happen, ya know?

All I know would be to wear a well fitting sports bra, but I’m sure you’ve tried that

@2beemrs:  Any changes to your breast should be checked out by a physician. Until you can get in to see your doctor, I would take an OTC pain med, such as IB Profen or Tylenol, and use an OTC anti-itch cream for your nipple.

If I went to the doctor for every tiny thing that was different day to day on my body, I’m pretty sure my doctor would be the richest man in the universe.

I usually just give my breast a good washing when it gets itchy, then I apply aloe & an OTC itch cream if it’s super crazy nasty, then I sleep with a tight fitting bra on til the itchy goes away. It happens now and then.

Is the itchy part rashy/weeping? I had this happen to me years ago, and it was eczema. Needed to get a special cream and it went away within a few days. If your breast is still sore after a few days you should go see your doctor.
