@Tiffner:  I have long hair and I’d say medium thickness. I wore mine mostly down and it was pinned back slighly on the sides. I had a comb on one side with the veil behind. I just couldn’t see me wearing my hair all up. Maybe a half up do would work for you as well

Commenting to follow. My hair is crazy thick as well, and it’s hard to do anything other than straighten it and wear it down.

I have naturally curly hair and am having a hair trial tomorrow. I want my hair to be down for my wedding. Will post pics tomorrow.

I used to have REALLY thick, long hair before I cut it all off because I felt like I looked like I was in an 80s metal hairband. haha. My mom has VERY thick hair, and it’s long. Probably about 4 or 5 inches past her shoulders. We went to a trunk show and a stylist did this for her for free just to see… it was a loose up-do, and I thought it was nice. It was loose, so I think it might work. I’m not sure how long your hair is. I’d wear it long and wavy, probably. I never understood why wearing it up is supposed to be more attractive anyway. I think long flowy/wavy hair is extremely feminine and attractive (and most others on here do too! There was a poll I saw. haha)… yet everyone tries to wear it like it’s short! What?? Lol. I don’t understand.

 @Tiffner:
I have long thick wavy hair too! I am going to wear mine with soft loose curls or big waves and completely down with some sort of bridal headband or comb to hold my veil in place. Trying to get my hair to stay up is a nightmare and the weight of an updo hurts my scalp. Also, then I won’t be paranoid about it falling down (I am always paranoid a fancy updo will tumble or completely collapse under the weight).

Have you thought about getting it thinned out before your wedding? I rarely ever get length cut off mine but I get it thinned out a ton!

PS: Kim K’s hair is mostly extensions!! We are lucky we have gorgeous thick hair growing out of our heads! It’s a predicament to have! πŸ˜‰

@mrstau732:  I typically have an indian salon do mine it never falls, but I always end up with about 250 bobby pins. Yes I’ve counted them going in and out.

@dewingedpixie:  My problem is more the actual weight of the hair being up for a long time hurts! Haha! I’m lame. The falling down/collapsing thing is more psychological for me than anything!

Your plan for your hair sounds wonderful! πŸ™‚

@Tiffner:  I have incredibly thick hair! It’s ridiculous. Every hairdresser I have ever been to says it’s the thickest they’ve seen! Haha… infact, I was in my sisters wedding a couple of years ago, and all the bridesmaids had the same hairstyle – theirs took 45mins, mine took 1.5hrs! The bride was ready before I was :-/

Anywho, back to your original question: I had long hair, but it was just way too much work! So now, I have a pixie haircut! Sorry I couldn’t be of any help!!!

My hair is thick, comes half way down my back, and also has waves. Drives me nuts – but putting that aside – I’m planning on having loose curls and sweeping it to one side for the wedding. Keeping it pretty and mostly out of the way πŸ™‚

@mrstau732:  I know how that gets. This is why I do a lot of low buns, half up half down, and low braids. The weight is aweful in a high poney tail.

@dewingedpixie:  Yup. But like I said before, it’s a predicament to have! My poor cousin has such baby fine hair you can see her scalp! I guess it’s harder to fix that than too much hair πŸ™‚
