I wore mine down and wavy-curly.  I wasn’t going to have the fight with five million bobby pins on my wedding day.

I have very thick hair too…I have it thinned, it is soooo much more manageable, but still has the length I want.  i have layers that start at my ears I guess?  But I straighten it everyday too lol it helps keep it under control

My stylist doesnt have any concerns doing my updo though, thankfully!

@everalwaysrealtrue:  Your look is similar to what I want for my hair (but longer)!  You look beautiful by the way! ๐Ÿ™‚

Half up hair styles are great! I had almost waist length hair for the wedding and I have enough hair for two people. I wore my hair half up and curly and it did well. Kept it from being too huge and the half up.meant not trying to pile it all on my head with bobby pins. Did that for prom and there were at least 100 bobby pins so I wasn’t messing with that again!

@dewingedpixie:  pretty!! I wish I had long thick hair!! What salon do you go to? You said Indian. I use to be stationed in Bethesda and went to the best salon I’ve ever been to in Gaithersburg. Salon Diva ๐Ÿ™‚ they were all pretty Indian ladies!

So jealous of all of you! My hair is thin and blah

Mine is freaky long and super thick.  I left it down with loose curls, parted off to the side with a clip so it wasn’t in my face.

@kjo:  ditto! I get mine thinned…I HAVE to or it’s one giant poof. I also straighten everyday. I did an updo for my wedding. My SIL did my hair for me, but during the trial run the bobby pins were popping out. So for the real thing, she put my hair in a ponytail and then pinned the curls around it. Looked just like an updo, you couldn’t tell there was a hair tie in it, but it gave it much more stability! It came a little loose in spots at the end of the night after dancing, but not too bad, and it stayed tight for all of the important stuff!

Mine isn’t super long (about 1 – 1.5 inches below my shoulders) but I have enough hair for three people… it’s insane!  Mine is strawberry blonde too (yay redheads!) and I have no clue what I’m going to do with it.  I hate updos, my hair will NOT hold curl, and we’re having an outdoor ceremony in Florida automatically equals humidity.  To add to the trouble, Fiance and I are having a Weddingmoon and I will be doing my hair myself which means the easier, the better, because I’m not that great at doing anything beyond using my flat iron.  The only options I’ve came up with so far is to either do a half up do with straight hair or just pull one side back with a bobby pin and stick a flower in it.  I’ve posted pics below.. maybe you can get some inspiration! ๐Ÿ™‚

@cherryblossomlove:  I go to one in Centreville. I’m actually overdue for a trim and henna job on my hair.

More redheads! I think I’m going to do a low messy updo. I cut a couple inches off not too long ago because I found it’s just completely impossible to deal with once it gets any longer than the top of my bra. I really love the way updos look so I’m going to suffer through the million bobby pins and can of hairspray it’s going to take. My hair really hates curling so I feel like I have to put it up unless I want to wear it straight for the wedding.

I just wore mine down in mermaid curls/waves with a large fascinator. Honestly, after spending all that time growing out my hair, I wanted it down!

I have a lot of hair. It’s a full medium thickness, and pretty heavy. If I wear my hair up, my scalp is sore for a day or two later.

I opted to have it braided to the side and loosly curled. I always wear it down, and wanted something that looked like “me” but fancier.
