Following this. Also, if you are in the US…ordering from an online pharmacy is signifiantly cheaper.

Hey there. How openly is your husband willing to talk about this issue? Because I think there are some things you can try that might help with what you’re feeling (which is totally and completely understandable, by the way.)

Spontaneity is admittedly hard when he needs to take a pill and wait for it to kick in, and having small kids definitely doesn’t help there! Do you think your husband would be open to the idea of sex without the Viagra on the nights when you’re feeling spontaneous? Yes, I know this means he may not get or maintain an erection, or have an orgasm on those particular occasions. But he can still get satisfaction from satisfying you. And it’ll give you ways to be intimate that don’t center on whether or not he has an erection. You’ll be getting your needs for intimacy and spontaneity met enough that sex with the Viagra might not feel like such a chore.

Another thing that might work is if he doesn’t tell you when he takes the Viagra. That might mean a “wasted” pill here or there if you’re too tired for sex and didn’t know that’s what he had in mind. I’m not sure whether or not that’s an acceptable cost for getting some of the spontaneity back in your sex life, but it might be worth a try for a few weeks to see how it goes. I know they’re expensive but I think taking the “planning” out of the equation might lead you to being in the mood more often  when he initiates, which will probably mean not as many wasted pills as you might think in the long run 🙂

Sometimes off label compounded brands are significantly cheaper than the name brand. This would take some financial pressure off of being wasteful with expensive meds.

anonbee23223 :  my friend’s husband takes Cialis 5 mg for prostate issues, but its original purpose (and side effect, for him) is ED medication.  It’s one pill a day, no scheduling or any of that.  Has he looked into that?
