I just searched up some images and they look TONED to me. their arms, legs, etc. muscles! they look like they work out and keep a healthy diet. they also have nice boobs and an ass. nope not too thin at all.
@Barbiestylez: Thanks for reminded me this was on! I love watching painfully thin women wearing langerie that I could never possible afford to wear (or would if I could!). It’s my ultimate guilty pleasure!
@Barbiestylez: Obviously I do not feel the models represent Victoria’s Secret’s average every day customer, which I think is a shame. The girls they picked are “larger” than typical runway models so that is a +!
I think they’re one type of ideal, for sure. I don’t think they’re too thin–they definitely fill out their outfits. I love the VS fashion show–the music is always cool and the costumes are incredible!
They have super thin legs, torsos, and arms with big boobs. So – unnaturally thin compared to 99.5% of the population, yes.
@Barbiestylez: oh nooooo please don’t start this debate. Lol
@Barbiestylez: Yes and no….. They actually look healthier than most runway models- most of them have muscle definition and look like they workout instead of just starve!
But, I believe if I saw them in person, I would be staring at how incredibly skinny they are. TV/ camera tricks our eyes, and most thin famous people are actually shockingly thin in person even though we know their image very well on screen.
I don’t necessarily think they’re “too” thin, as I don’t think any of them look unhealthy or sick.
I do, however, find it frustrating to only ever see them repesent one body type, which, as PP mentioned, is not what a large (no pun intended) majority of their clientele looks like.
When I see them, I don’t think “Ick, they look gross” – I think “DAMN they look good!!” and I’m just glad that I went to spin class earlier today… 😉
I think they look thin, but they don’t look hungry and sad like most catwalk models. The VS models don’t typically fit into my vision of the ideal body (I’m heavily into sports so I personally would want more muscle mass and smaller boobs if I got to pick my own body) but I think probably to a lot of people (both men and women) this is what the ideal body looks like. And that’s good, because they look a lot healthier than most models and super skinny celebrities.
In the modeling world, these girls are considered curvy which they are – they have curves. I think they look great. Good for them. If I could be a VS model then I would in a heartbeat.
I think most of them look good. There’s the odd girl who does look worryingly thin, but VS models in general are a lot curvier than your regular high fashion model.
I think most of us would love to look like them. Methinks the girls who make the “eat a cheeseburger” comments are green with envy! These girls are naturally thinner than most, and then make a career out of looking good… so I think it’s perfectly doable for them to look like they do without going to drastic measures. I know Adriana Lima does some crazy shit in the days leading up to the show, but in general, I think most of them just eat sensibly, exercise, and are genetically blessed.
