I’m usually not a huge fan of VS, but they make one bra that I like a lot. I bought one of them probably about 7 years ago. The 7 year old bra is (understandably) in totally horrible condition — the material on the band is saggy, the elastic is in bad shape, and the material is all pilly (yes, I machine wash my bras…I know I shouldn’t!)
I took the 7 year old bra to VS today with the intention of buying a new one (I brought it because I can never remember what I like). Instead, they gave me a BRAND NEW bra in the same style — for FREE.
Just wanted to share this with you ladies! If you have a destroyed old bra from VS, just bring it in and they’ll replace it with a new one in the same style for free. Yay! Have any of you done this before?

Seriously?! That’s amazing!

Hmm, I worked at Victoria’s Secret for four years and I never remember doing this for a client…
Maybe it’s a new policy?

What?!? That is incredible. I love Vikie’s Hush, Hush! I get alot of my undergarments from there. I’m so glad they did that for you. That’s awesome! Btw, if you machine wash your bras, did you ever try using a bra bag? I’ve noticed that using one has significantly reduced the amount of damage done to my bras in the washer. They’re real cheap, too $3-4.

Yeah, I do use a bra bag…but I think that 7 years of weekly washings will take its toll regardless :/ The VS lady said to wash them on delicate if I have to machine wash them, so maybe I’ll try that.
@kyleandjillian61513: Maybe it’s new, I don’t know! Regardless, it’s pretty awesome!

@likelimeade: I worked there for a while and my Fi was a manager for three and a half years and that shouldn’t have really happened. I can only think of some extreme cases where the band snapped after someone taking great care of it ( ie no machine wash, hang dry) and she got a new one. I’m super excited that you got a free one though since they are so pricey, it’s just not the norm.
Did they say why they gave you a new one??

if it was machine washed that pretty much voids chances of returning for a new one… maybe they just messed up and didn’t know any better and you lucked out? lol lucky! (former VS employee of several years here..)

@Spade504: They acted like it was totally normal. I asked the welcome girl in the front of the store where the bras were, and she was like, “Oh, we’ll replace that for free.” And when I got to the counter I just said to the guy “I’d like to replace my old bra with this new one, which is the same bra,” and he didn’t question it at all — just rang up my $0.00 bra!

Cool for you! But yeah, really weird, since bras are expected to have to be replaced because they stretch out and stuff.
