I have been having issues and issues and ISSUES with my reception venue manager (Now dubbed Ms. Abby [Crabby Abby…get it?]). Well. Ms. Abby has taken it upon herself since I signed a contract–for the venue, not the food–to change prices and options and tables and chairs and blah blah blah without notification.
I have been gracious and polite when I felt like strangling her. To the point where my father has said “If I were in your shoes, I’d be one heck of a bridezilla on this woman right now, she needs put into her place….”
Along with polite and gracious, I have been persistent. I will not sign a contract that is incorrect in any way, shape, or form because I will be held to that contract even though it’s wrong.
Today, I heard back from her for the 6th time on the same contract. With an apology that she keeps messing it up. My original “contract” called for 2 meals at $13.95 pp then an additional (vegetarian) plate for an additional $2 pp ordering it. Along with her apology this email, she put onto the contract that the vegetarian plate is the same price as everybody else as compensation for the stress she has put me through.
I literally had to read this email several times before I started dancing. V. I. C. T. O. R. Y. Not only am I getting what I wanted/was agreed upon, but I have won over Ms. Abby and get my additional plate for free?! Yes. Yes, this is a victory. And I am happy.
