I posted this in the wrong spot originally. Whoops.
I wasn’t really planning on posting any photos or anything from the wedding for privacy reasons. But we just returned from our destination wedding and I received our wedding video from the videographer. Oh my goodness—it was the best decision I ever made and I love it. It it long and includes the vows (our whopping 15 minute ceremony, LOL, which you can skip if you like) but I’m just on cloud nine and I had to share it. Sure, some things didn’t go as planned, but I really could care less. It was such a magical day and everything I could have hoped for.
I’ve found so much support on the bee and so, screw privacy—here’s our faces and our day.
I highly recommend doing video and not just photos! xoxo
Butterfly6: Aww Thank you! I’ve cried every time I watch it. When I see him and his son getting ready…*sigh*…and then…his face when I’m walking—oh man I had to use every muscle I had not to have snot running down my face from ugly crying. It’s so great to relive that day—it flew by! I’m the luckiest girl in the world!
creativeplannertobee: Much appreciated. I cry every time I watch it. As a “later bride” (almost 35) I wondered if I would ever find the one…but this guy was worth the wait and all the bumpy roads to find him. I’m exactly where I was meant to be! <3
heavenlyflower: The music helps make it…but yes…do video! I’m still waiting another 4 weeks or so for professional photos, but this is by far one of the best things we did. I didn’t know if it would turn out ok or be poorly shot (we honestly didn’t pay that much for it, and the wedding was in Dominican Republic so I wasn’t sure if their style and my style would match)…But I’m so thankful we did it. It was just great to see the parts that you don’t really get to see yourself. Like seeing the boys get ready…my reaction when my mom surprised me with my childhood friend from Montana flying in for the wedding. etc
I did realize I forgot to hug my step dad or say “thank you” or anything when we got to the front, but all I could see was my man’s face/tears and I needed to squeeze and kiss him. My head went blank. Whoops.
Im so jealous you already have your video!! We had a Destination Wedding last month and it’ll be another month before we have our film and several more weeks until we have our highlight!!
I didn’t watch the whole thing (I will later) but I love how y’all did what works for you and something that a lot of bees bitch about…getting married before hand! Of course y’all told everyone and supposedly that’s what everyone complains about on here, but it was so refreshing to see everyone cheering and still traveling for the ceremony!! I’ve lost both of my parents (also both in April) and my DH has lost his mom, I love how y’all are bringing something happy to a day that can be so hard!
It looks like it was a gorgeous day, but an Even better couple! Congrats bee!!
