Hi ladies, I’ve been reading this board for a couple of months (love all your posts and photos!) but this is the first time I’m writing a post.
My fiance and I have been researching videographers for a little more than a month and we’re finding the search harder than any of the other different vendors we’ve been looking at. We’ve narrowed our choices down to 2 or 3 different folks (all single shooters)- but I was wondering what you ladies think of taping bride/groom prep.
I will be getting ready at my parents’ house and one of our photographers will be there. We plan to have the videographer there at the end of my prepping (final makeup touches, putting my dress on, etc). My fiance will be getting ready ~20miles away at the hotel. Our other photographer (husband/wife team) will be with the guys while they prep.
We were hoping to get on video both of us prepping, but most videographers we talk to are giving us a hard time about it– mostly saying the guys really don’t get ready until they’re at the church. What have you ladies found is most common? I definitely want to capture the emotion in the moments before the ceremony (excitement, nerves, jittery-ness, etc). I don’t want to be unreasonable in my request of wanting the guys to be filmed– what do you all think?
