I just joined WeddingBee after my best friend highly recommended it to me. She’s gotten great advice on here, and I’m hoping y’all can help me out too. I am getting married on August 25th 2012 at Oceancliff Hotel in Newport, RI. When I first visited that location, I completely fell in love with it even though it was somewhat outside my budget. Anyway, I ended up booking with them and now I’m trying to save as much as I can on other vendors. Right now, I’m looking for a videographer. Does anyone have any recommendations for videographers who would be cheaper than $750? I’m fine with new videographers who are trying to build their portfolio. Oceancliff will provide a great backdrop for video. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

Hey! Welcome to weddingbee 🙂 It’s a fun place to bee (see what I did there?? 🙂 ) Anyways- I don’t know of any videographers in the NJ area (since I”m not from there) but I know you can search through the vendor listings by area through weddingbee. Have you considered using one of those handheld video camera companies? They send out Flip cameras (or similiar) and you hand them to your family and friends to record the fun. It’s reaaaally cool and definitely under your budget of $700.
Here’s their website-http://weddings.storymixmedia.com/
Oh and on their FB page (https://www.facebook.com/Storymix 😉 they said they are running a contest if you enter the contest on the side and leave a comment on the wall. the more comments, the more entries you get!
