Wow, that’s some list. Sorry, can’t help. I’d check each one against weddingwire, the knot, and project weddings to see if other brides have provided reviews their services. Based on that, I’d narrow it down to a few and then just meet up with a couple, get referrals, and make your decision there.
You may also want to talk with your photographer, who probably has worked with several and can make a recommendation, that’s what I’m doing (I’m awaiting the list). Remember, they have to work together so if your photographer knows someone, that may help and you may get a good deal as well. GL.

Thanks for the help, thebriz! The problem is I haven’t selected a photographer yet either. In fact, I’ve just started the wedding planning process. Besides NYMag and TheKnot, there’s surprisingly very little info and reviews on videographers out there.
To others reading this…I’d like a cinematic effect, and we require that our vid is in HD.

Hmmm, well then perhaps when you find a videographer, you can get a recommendation for a photographer, or they may also have a photographers on hand, if you want one vendor for all things.
I’ve done so much piecemeal, if I had to do over again, I may have been a bit more organized, but so far, I am happy with all my vendors. I just don’t want a cheesy videographer. Hope you find someone and can pass along the info to the hive.
You should be okay with HD, very few videographers don’t offer it – it’s just a matter of paying extra or more (which is kind of the same thing, at the end of the day). 🙂

I met with Rob from Couped up, and really really liked him. He ended up being my second choice. He’s very affordable and really nice. I ended up going with a (more expensive) videographer that my photographer recommended, since they work together a lot, and it was really important to me that my photographer and videographer be able to work well together since having amazing photography is really important to me.

Look into 5 west studios. (5weststudios.com) They do both photography and videography so the option of a package is available. I ended up booking them only for videography. We liked their style best of all the videographers we looked into.

http://barnabydraperstudios.com/ is incredible. The videographer Barnaby works with is Craig and he seriously is so fantastic. We hired them both for our wedding. Look at the sample videos on the website. So great!

- Wedding: July 2018 - Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers
We used Ray from Timeless Films and he was really great! Unobtrusive and he caught some amazing footage. We couldn’t be happier with the final product!
I posted about them here too.

@futuremrscrawford – So exciting! Craig is doing our wedding! So excited for you! I think his stuff is so fantastic!

I ended up going with Orange Films. Edward Zilberman is the videographer, and I was blown away by his work. It’s HIGHLY creative, cinematic, and there’s nothing cheesy about his work at all. Watching his work truly was like watching a film.
Thanks for your help, everyone!

I’m meeting with Magic Flute on 3/5. We’ll see how it goes!

It’s tough trying to choose between so many wedding videographers! I’d say probably go through each of their previous videos, and see which one you like the most. I’d also ask around with local photographers, they usually have an idea of who’s pretty good out there.
I found a pretty good article too with some tips about choosing between different studios for wedding videography.

Here’s our wedding highlights video from Magic Flute. http://vimeo.com/18551127 Just got the link last night. We LOVE it. We haven’t received the full video yet, but they were lovely to work with and based on our highlight video, I would recommend them.

DO NOT USE MAGIC FLUTE VIDEOS!
We were very disappointed with the quality of the video we received. The vendor’s own website says that their “very style and substance promises to be captivating and artistic” and that our video would be “a commissioned artwork.” And this is exactly what we had seen in the samples we viewed and why we decided to hire this vendor. Yet, what we actually received resembles a home video except it was shot on a HD camera. Our biggest complaint is the zooming in on people’s faces to the point where not only you can’t see our hair but also our foreheads are cut off. This runs throughout the entire video. Every single pore/pimple/wrinkle is magnified which does not really make for a soft/romantic/cinematographic video most couples wish for. We wanted the video to capture moments – but instead it captured our faces. Another complaint is that the way the video is shot is like someone was using a home camera – just “point and shoot” – there are no wide angle scenes where the camera either slowly moves away (or simply “glides on air”) or moves around you in a circle giving the video that true cinematographic look. This is what we had seen in the vendor’s samples, yet our own video lacks that. Our video also lacks those soft transitions that other samples have (I am not sure whether it’s done through editing or filming) or where the focus is on people yet the background is soft and blurry. We have none of that. BE CAREFUL – this vendor uses different samples to entice you but the video you actually get resembles nothing like samples. Also, our contract stated that we need 4 copies of DVD (since there are 3 sets of parents), yet we only received 3 copies. Our original DVD with photo montage was not returned to us – even though I specifically enclosed a note asking for its return when I mailed it to the vendor. Only some of the corrections/edits were made after the vendor promised to edit the video to our satisfaction. When I emailed the vendor about all this, this is the response I got from him:
“We have quit the wedding business and moved to Costa Rica. I have a friend with our backup drives in NY, i will have him send you another copy of your dvd. You will need a mac to access your files or download the latest quicktime that has the sony xdcam codec (they are raw files). sorry you were unhappy with your video. Renzo Zanelli”
