I didn’t want one, didn’t get one, and completely happy with my decision. We splurged on our photographer and venue, and I am so thrilled looking through my photos. I’m not one to watch a video (definitely not multiple times a week…), so it would have been a waste. It sounds like you are pretty set on it, so I would try to reallocate your budget to accomodate it.

We did not have a videographer, and I kept freaking out when I read it was other people’s biggest wedding regret. So, I had friend record on her phone the ceremony, the speeches, and our first dance, and I am so glad I did! Our officiant did an amazing job and I wasn’t able to soak in everything he said when I heard it the first time. Also, we (embarassingly) accidentally kissed before we were supposed to, and that was not caught in any pictures, so it’s fun to see that in the video because everyone laughs.

Glad we had it recorded in some way!

Totally worth the price! Because of how hectic the day was I don’t remember much and the video was a beautiful reminder of how special the day was.
