You can try checking craigslist for more affordable videographers in the Philadelphia area by looking under creative services.  You might be surprised as to what you can find on there.  Good luck with your search.

I am in Chicago but used Well Spun Weddings (http://www.wellspunweddings.com) which is based in Philly. They are not "cheap" but they are more affordable than a lot of other places, and we LOVE our video! I cry every time I watch it (in a good way!).

Craigslist!! I found videographers in LA charging $400 (and this isn’t exactly a cheap city). I don’t know how professional you want your video (maybe you could just pay for raw footage and then get it edited by someone pricier/more "experienced" when you have more money to spend again!), but I’m sort of questioning the value of the video at all so I plan to go cheap!!

I know a lot of Philly Knotties have used Martin’s Video, who I think are even less than $1,000, and loved them. I only ever looked on their site and some looked a little too weddingish for me.

Well Spun is $1,800 I believe for their cheapest package. My videographer Pete Malone of First Floor Films starts at about $1,500 with 2008 pricing. I don’t know the pricing for Ken Stillman but I’ve also heard good things about him as well. Good luck! Any questions feel free to PM me.
