Vintage book groupings are finally coming into fruition. I took some never dust jackets off some books to add to the height of my collections. Please tell me about your usage of books – are you doing a specific theme?

Looks great so far! What an awesome idea. 🙂 It’s something I’ll have to consider. Good luck!

where’d you find most of your books?

I’m not using books (as far as I know yet,) but I love the idea! What are you using these for? I saw a photo of a bride who used an old vintage book as the ring bearer “pillow”…I thought it was the coolest thing!
By The Way I want that Winnie The Pooh Book! So cute!!

I’m using vintage books also. I plan to have 3 on each table, along with vintage glass bottles filled with flowers and misc. wooden signs with sayings. I love the button you’ve attached to the twine – I made button boutonnieres for the guys so I may have to steal that idea!

- Wedding: October 2011 - Barn at Valhalla
Those look awesome! I thought about doing this but FH nixed the idea…he thought it was “weird.” These boys either need to trust us OR just read the wedding blogs night and day like we do, to know what is IN!

@sfchick: It also helps that my father is a 78-year old hoarder. He has EVERYTHING in his basement from his childhood along with everything his grandparents ever had. The hard part is helping him find it AND convincing him to let me borrow it (that I won’t ruin it).

I love this. I would love to have incorporated vintage books into our decor, but it didn’t pan out that way… I am planning on making our guest book out of a vintage Donna Parker novel, though!
