 you could always go to goodwill. I have found some good stuff there. Or the salvation army.  maybe you could use a bunch of cake stands instead?

By vintage, are you envisioning the look of tiered petastool cake stands? Or the look of vintage plates as stands?

I’ve seen DIY posts for both 🙂

Here is one using old vintage plates http://www.designspongeonline.com/2008/05/diy-project-kates-recycled-cakestands.html 

you can stack them taller depending on what candle sticks you use & size of plates.

Also, I’ve seen people make stands using terra cotta pots and stacking plates, like this pic:

I made my stand w/ wooden squares and inbetween used cans covered with fabric.

You can make one using vintage plate and cups.

World Market carries a cute white wire one for cheap (like $19 or $24) but it’s smallish so you may need a few. I also saw a similar one at Target.
