Anyone know where I could get some really nice vintage decor for my wedding.
I’m thinking of Mason Jars, but was also interested in some milk bottles.
Any assistance would be appreciated.. or if anyone else has any ideas that would be great!! My theme is a spanish vintage theme. I was thinking of coloring the mason jars to a cobalt blue (nothing matte but give them some color)..any ideas on how to do this?

I’ve seen cobalt blue glass bottles. I think they would look fab with your theme! Start scouting out etsy, thrift stores, flea markets, ebay and garage sales!

Books – old books 🙂 And lace… Pearls. Pretty much anything with a “weathered” look… Boxes, suitcase, bottles and bucket. 🙂

I got some really pretty Shabby Chic/ Vintage items at Michael’s. They had birdcages, vintage vases, birds, keys, etc out for a spring line.

For the spanish part of your theme, I have always loved these:

Do you have any idea how you are going to set up the tables? Long tables would look great with milk jars down the center or blue mason jars. You can find milk jars at most antique stores or on ebay. They can be a little pricy though. I used them for our rehearsal dinner and the look turned out great. I would probably contact a few florists once you have your idea in mind to make sure they can do what you want.
If you are going for more of a spanish theme to match the venue here are some fun pictures for inspiration.

I gathered about 50 antique bottles and milk bottles from flea markets, estate sales, and antique malls over the past few months. It actually went quick and I am now addicted. I can’t stop buying them even though I have plenty 😉 I rationalize that I’m giving my florist plenty of choices! There are some awfully neat things out there, like little glass Listerine bottles and the like. Adorable.
Anyway, if you’re persistent you can find some great deals. Some milk bottles are pricer than others. I went to every antique mall in my area until I knew which ones would have the most reasonable vendors. My biggest score was an estate sale where there were rows and rows of tables with boxed up crap all soggy from the rain, and a bunch of boxes behind the shed. I asked if those boxes were also for sale, and they were. I scored a whole box of bottles for like $15 🙂 I’ve found Etsy and eBay to be too overpriced, especially with shipping but it never hurts to keep an eye on them!
I love this look, but I’m biased. Good luck!
