I really love vintage dresses and I was wanting to wear one to the rehearsal dinner, but I’m scared I’ll wind up looking rediculous or overdressed for the occasion. These are both dresses I haven’t had a chance to wear yet.. Would either one be appropriate for a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner? Or should I just wear a regular dress and save the vintage ones for another time?

I like the black one better — something about the ruffle around the neck of the other one seems a bit off. But you should wear the one you feel the most beautiful in!

@jen0farc: i agree
Maybe if you are torn you should keep looking until you find something you think is spectacular!

I don’t find the first to be the most flattering on you, but I also don’t know how I feel about wearing black to a wedding rehearsal (when you’re the bride). I would choose something a little more casual since you’re worried about standing out too much. I’m sure you’ll look beautiful in whatever you pick!

i definitely think the black one is appropriate. i am wearing a betsey johnson cocktail dress to my rehearsal dinner, and it is just as fancy as the black vintage frock you have.
you might look a bit too costumey in the pinkish dress…. but that’s just my personal opinion.

I agree, wear the black. 🙂

I’m gonna go against the grain here and say that I love the pink dress! But I think either is totally great for a rehearsal dress, mine was fancy too!

the black. the pink looks like a costume.

Depends: what’s your rehearsal dinner going to be like? Is it evening or afternoon? Formal or casual?
