There are plenty of delicate combs.

Go to a bridal store and try some on.

BHLDN has a really lovely birdcage veil with pearl detail – my friend just tried it on recently for her wedding. I’m not sure that this is the same one, but it is a similar concept – it is called the Colette Comb.

They really have several beautiful headpieces. I’m also a really big fan of Kelly Spence’s combs and veils – they are lovely with a vintage quality (see my avatar :)). Honestly though, when my friend was engaged 2 years ago, I took her antiquing for jewelry and accessories, and it was very fruitful ๐Ÿ™‚

I prefer the comb idea. Unless the headband is incorporated into the style it looks like a slapped on after thought.

How about weaving a strand of pearls into your hair. Like this but with smaller pearls in your bun.

Also there are comb that are meant to be combined together like this. Then you can take way or add as you like.

 Sorry pictures are monstrous.

What about something like this? They are a combination of a headband and a comb.

Etsy is your friend!  I bought a hair vine from there, and wore my hair very similar to the style you posted above, it was just secured with bobby pins so wasn’t heavy at all

VictorianChick :  Yep. That’s weird. It’s in my sent messages. I’ll try again!
