- Wedding: February 2011
It’s not for 3-5 years, but unlike our rushed wedding, I want to work on this one a tiny bit at a time and have everything done months ahead of time 🙂
There are a couple things I want for sure:
1. Only 20-35 people (originally bridal party and close family/friends)
2. A GREAT photographer.
3. For it to be awesome.
I’m between themes right now though. I have a lot of good ideas for either, but can’t decide!
For a vintage theme, I loooove lacey, knee-length vintage dresses with a passion. Or even the strapless, poofier short polka-dot overlay ones. They’re super cute IMO, and I’d love to have one made. It’d be adorable to wear it with some pump peep-toes and red lipstick, complete with pin-up girl curls. I also think a double-seater bike or classic cadillac would be great. I picture coca cola in glass bottles and little gourmet pizza squares, served outside in a garden. Everything cozy and sweet and reminiscent of the good old days. I’m thinking emerald green, ivory, red, pale pink and navy.
On the other hand, husband and I are Asia fanatics. We love Chinese food, Japanese art, and other such things. Would wear a nice sundress for the ceremony on the beach and then a cute knee length kimono dress and sandals. I’m thinking more of chinese take out boxes and lace hand fans; paper lanterns and laughing Buhdas. Personalized fortune cookies and chopsticks. For this I feel more of a emerald, teal, hot pink and black color scheme.
So what do you like better? I know it’s a far way off, but it’s something to occupy me til my Russian software comes 😀
