I LOVE LUCY INSPIRED! 😛 naturally we wouldn’t have ILL stuff all over.  But I could use a few opinions/suggestions.

I love the color emerald.  It happens to be my birthstone.  J is irish as well so it’s a perfect match for us.  But I definitely want to keep it vintage style.  What other colors do you guys suggest?  I’m having such a hard time with this because I want something unique and different.

I really like purple with emerald!  It may not be the first “vintage” color combination to come to mind, but I think you could definitely make it look that way (as long as you can avoid the mardi gras look!).  You could even go with an awesome peacock theme.  Here’s a cool pic I found:

@Lorge28: I love that color combination as well, but I feel like A LOT of people are doing that particular theme.  I guess that’s why this is harder for me than it should be.  But thank you! 😀

@julies1949: I love that vase with the doilies. I want to make one for my house!

Mason jars, kraft paper (love this stuff! and it’s really inexpensive, paperandmore.com), lots of candles, string lights (I love the globe lights, but they are expensive so we got a ton of the large C7 and C9 strands on after Christmas clearance)

@Nola: Love the teacups on hooks! Such a unique idea. Your venue looks gorgeous too.

@Lorge28: LOVE all that stuff. Gorgeous color palette…. I’m drooling!

@Nola: I am really leaning towards the inspiration board that you posted above.  I love the black and white aspect with it while still toying with the green.  Great pick.

My wedding was inspired by this photo from my 1921 typewriter:

And here’s my mood board I created a while back:

So I’m using a ton of mason jars filled with random objects (buttons, pearls, wine corks, etc.), playing only jazz music from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, using kind of a hodge podge of items around the reception to create interest and an eclectic quality, using a typewriter as a guestbook and restored 1931 suitcase for the card holder. Omg, I could go on forever!
