these are all so pretty! I love vintage rings. I wish I could share a picture of my mum’s engagement ring but I don’t have one – it was an antique when they bought it in 1967 or 1968 – apparently in the UK at that time, items had to be over 100 years old to qualify as an antique and thus didn’t attract sales tax, which is why they chose it.

It’s a beautiful natural ruby and pearl ring from the 1860s with half-pearls and rubies set into a very flat profile yellow gold diamond-shaped lattice setting. 

I always wonder who had worn it before her, and what their life was like.

I adore vintage jewelry, you all have posted gorgeous vintage rings! This was my grandmother’s wedding ring that I inherited, I wear it occasionally when the mood strikes.

@noseynat:  wow that is really unusual. What era is it from do you know? It looks like late 50s through late 60s to me, and I’m curious if I’m right, lol!
