orangeblossomspecial:  If you insist!!! I had my band custom made to match the band of the ering because I was having a hard time finding anything that complimented in it. Here’s the band with it: In this bottom one the center stone looks yellow because i was wearing a yellow dress…usually no yellow color…

orangeblossomspecial:  I will definitely post pictures when I get it.  I had a vintage setting before with a moissanite OEC that had this style of fishtail prong – though without the illusion settig part – and I loved them and how they squared off the stone visually. I did want prongs that style but it was not as easy finding them again, especially in good shape. I guess a two-tone will have to wait for now! πŸ™‚

vintagekitten:  Thank you, and I love the one you picked – all three look lovely but I definitely think you made the right choice!

natashanicole:  I will take several cups of that tea if others aren’t drinking it. It’s a lovely ring!

orangeblossomspecial:  thanks!  No, it is white gold, though I wish I had it done in platinum.  Rhodium plating drives me nuts.

My great grandmothers engagement ring and my great great grandmothers engagement ring! Sorry for the awful iPhone quality pics, they’re so much prettier in person.

I have my grandmother’s set. I love the two-tone gold and the illusion setting – I’m not one for big and flashy, but they still sparkle like crazy while being easy to wear!

They were originally soldered together, but we had them separated so I could wear the e-ring (and to get them sized):

I have my grandmothers engagement ring which has tiny diamonds but its such a lovely dainty ring I adore it and wear it quite a lot.

Then I have my greatgrandmothers eternity ring which has bigger diamonds but not huge. The sparkle it gives off is amazing! They are a lower quality then my ering but they shine 10 times more because the cut just makes them shine!

RayKay:  It’s more gorgeous in real life honestly my great gran had fantastic taste! There is milgrain around each stone and engraved detail to the sides then the setting is platinum but the band is rose gold. I took it to the jewelers to be cleaned and valued for the first time in 30 odd years a while ago and they went “ooh is it rose gold?” my response was “ehh possibly or its just really dirty!”
