My WONDERFUL cousin is going to come up to play at our wedding. She is professional violinist, so i’m not worried about songs being to hard for her. My problem is, I can’t think of/find songs!!! HELP bees! What songs do you think would be really pretty for a solo for a violinist? They only one i have so far is jesu, joy of man’s desire. Please give me some suggestions!!!!!

Some questions to consider:
Is this for the ceremony or reception (dinner, evening)?
What mood are you looking to set? Happy, reflective, etc.
Will the music be performed as a solo or as background music?
Will she is accompanied by anyone (that may change the available songs).
Are you looking to have classical music or contemporary music?
How long will she be playing?
Since she’s a professional violinist, she may be able to help point you in the right direction as well. She most likely has some type of repertoire that she is very familiar with that you could listen to.

The music is just for the ceremony. She will be playing while everyone comes in and gets seated. Then she will play while we all walk down the isle. She will also play when we leave. I would like it to be JUST her playing. I don’t really care what kind of mood! Classical, contemporary. ANYTHING would help right now!

Bach sonatas. The one from the master card commercial, just go on you tube and search for classical violin!

My organist gave me this website and I highly recommend it. It has different types of music, divided into processional, bridal processional, recessional, etc. and has links so that you can listen to it.
