I think you guys look like a lovely couple, and I know you’re super excited about your big day. I think if they fit within your budget and you’re happy with them that’s what matters.

That being said, I don’t think I’d choose them for myself. Looking through their portfolio they have some serious focus and editing inconsistancies. Many pictures are not in focus, and the editing is all over the place. Selective coloring (B&W with only something in color) tends to be frowned upon in the indsutry these days, and tends to be a sign of someone who is very new or has little experience. You said they were super cheap and affordable, and that’s probably why. They’ve included some photos where you have your eyes closed, and it’s not on purpose, but from squinting or blinking. That’s something that should not be included in a final gallery.

Like I said, if you are happy with them, that’s what matters most! πŸ™‚

@Jdiaz37:  I think in that case, if you’re usually a squinty person (My Fiance is the same way!) your photographer should have noticed that and changed up locations. Shooting out in full sun a) isn’t flattering, and b) is hard on people who are sensitive to light. Choosing a shaded location, or waiting until the best time of day for beach photography would have been best. As a beach photographer myself, I’m pretty OCD about stuff like that.

What is your budget? My wedding photographer friends in Va Beach aren’t cheap, but perhaps they would be able to suggest some that are just starting out but with good skills?
