And I think all of the little mascot souvenirs are so cute and funny:

I think for me it would have to be hands down watch all the synchronized swimming events!!! I would die to see it. I did synchro for 14 years of my life and that was my dream to make it to the Olympics. I always love to see it on TV. I really wouldn’t care where I’d stay as long as I get to be there.

@couawilou:  Oh wow, you did synchronized swimming? Very cool! I think that’d be a great event to watch!

This thread is making me think of the London episode of FRIENDS, especially Joey and Chandler. πŸ™‚

@Gemstone:  Yeppers! I always loved it, I missed the 1996 ones because we didn’t qualify high enough, we were sooo close πŸ™

I would probably want to go watch gymnastics and diving (but really – any Olympic event would be awesome)!

@Mrs. Spring:  Honestly – I love watching both the men and women.  I don’t know that I have a strong preference either way.  The shear strength required in some of the men’s events (still rings, anyone?!?) simply amazes me though!

ETA: I watched the Olympic qualifying for both the men’s and women’s teams.

When we visit we always stay with friends that live nearby so no hotels for me. I absolutely love checking out the museums (love the Saatchi Gallery).

I would die to see the beach volleyball games. I am religious follower of Phil Dalhausser and Kerri Walsh on FB and I love getting their updates, thoughts and feelings on the games so far. I would LOVE to see Kerri and Misty May in action.

This photo made me laugh, I hardly ever see them so covered up:

I would go to Covent Garden to shop and Smithfield Market to eat yummy Italian. I would go to Holloway to buy all of Vivien of Holloway dresses. then I would go to Browns and buy a Vera Wang dress then on to another bridal shop to buy Alfred Angelo’s ‘Belle’ from the Disney collection after all that shopping I would go to the South Bank to have a Wagamama. To rest my head I’d find a swanky boutique hotel.
