Geesh, as soon as the words “i’m a little sick” came out of your mouth (or, you know, you have a life?) they should’ve been all “oh okay we understand!” Some families have different expectations but i can honestly say i wouldn’t want a million and one people around my baby like that!

I think the general expectation is to not infect a new baby, though!

Wow with the sickness you’d think they would understand.

I’d think so. You already came and visited. Weekly visits aren’t mandatory. I am actually very uncomfortable around little babies and don’t like to go near them. I feel like i’m invading their space.

Haha very true.  I think if you aren’t the parent, it’s hard to tell the differences in babies when they are first born.

Given that your brother and SIL are so self-centered, they are probably complaining about a lack of attention or gifts or something.  I’d ignore the criticism.  As a new mother myself, I was grateful not to have many visitors, it’s a lot to take in that first week.  And especially if you’ve already seen the new baby…come on people.
