Create an account, start a project and leave it half done… they notice and start sending you coupons and alerting you to sales on your item. I only got to 30% but my item went on sale from the time I started it (less than 2 weeks). Good luck!

Try mixbook.com instead. They send out 50% off codes every 2 to 3 months…and smaller deals in between. I also think their stuff looks better than VP’s. I ordered our invitations from mixbook for a STEAL and we’re very happy with them.

Yes!  We were looking for one also – that’s how we got our Save-The-Date Cards for so dang cheap!  And we were looking to order our invites (including 5×7 invites, directions cards, RSVP cards, and thank you notes) this week.  No sales or coupons in sight…

Here’s how we cut our order (Design Your Own – uploaded our own designs) from $409 to $215 for 150 invites…

First, I created all of our pieces and added them to the cart.  This adds them to the Portfolio so you can print more later.  I wanted to see the total cost and evaluate how we could get it down – I wanted it under $200.

I looked online for coupons – the best I could find was invites for 25% off – ok, but I would have to seriously cut the others in price to get to my goal.  So I left everything in my cart and left it alone for a couple days.

BAM.  I get a coupon in my email for $100 off $200+ orders.

So I placed 2 orders (to use 2 offers since you can’t stack) – one for my invites @ 25% off and one for my directions cards, RSVP cards, and thank you notes (totaled just over $200) with $100 off.

I got….

150 invites for $114.22 (linen finish added an upcharge, but was also discounted)

The following totaled $121.49.

250 RSVP postcards (150 envelopes [as we are only making 150 invites] and recycled matte upcharges)  *buying too many saved $5*

250 Directions postcards (only need 150 of everything, extras for the church in case people need directions, recycled matte upcharge)

150 Thank You folded note cards (envelopes included, linen upcharge)

TOTAL = $235.71 ($215ish + 8 day shipping)

I hope that was clear enough.  We really had to work it to get this close to our goal price.  Hope this helps!!!

@sarangeo:  i have found that 50% off coupon to be a true “unicorn” haha…

i had a friend who had a 25% off coupon that she gave me, and i used that to order my Save-The-Date Cards…then when those came, they sent me a 30% off coupon and i used that on my invites. its still cheaper than just about every other option i’ve seen!

good luck 🙂

I used VistaPrint for our invites/STD/RSVP postcards. It totals less than $70 for 100 magnets and 250 each of the two kinds of cards with more expensice stock.

50% off sale lasts until 11Feb.

But yeah, if you make something and leave it in your cart the price WILL go down.

@sarangeo:  It saddens me that we’re not ready to purchase our invites yet, because their deals right now is amazing ! 50% off is a great deal. I hope they have another sale like that in a few months, when our venue, date and guest list are all ready and settled.

ETA : I thought I saw the promo code for 50% off ? Isn’t it BIGSALE ?

@Callie_Starr:  +1 I did this with a few things and now they are sending coupons like crazy!

I would try it and keep checking your email afterward.  Also keep checking sites like Groupon.  My sister gave me a Groupon for $70 worth of stuff for $17.  My invites were pretty cheap after that 🙂
