i’m planning diy-ing my design and having vistaprint print them out.
i dont have illustrator but i have photoshop. can i just size the image to 6×9 (the size of their invitations and upload that? i won’t have pictures, it’ll basically be black and red typography. i’m worried the resolution will turn out crappy and it’ll look cheap 🙁

I made my invites in photoshop and they turned out pretty well! I just googled “make invitations in photoshop” and lots of tutorials came up!

@geekchick: Set your resolution to 300, shouldn’t have a problem with bad resolution that way :). Make sure 6×9 is the size you want, if you try to change size later, it can distort your text.

Yep just make sure your resolution is at least 300 dpi at the 6×9 size.

We made our STD’s on photoshop and printed them through Vista Print, they came out really well!

@geekchick: I agree with the PPs – go with 300 dpi. Also if you go to Vistaprints site you can download the photoshop template for each product. It’s nice because theirs is slightly bigger than 6×9. That’s because they mass produce and so it gives you an area just outside the 6×9 that should still be filled with background color in case they are cut ever so slightly bigger than they should be. I hope that made sense. If not they explain it nicely on their site.
