I’ve been playing around with invites for the past couple days on Vistaprint and want to know what my bees think.
We’re getting married at the courthouse with very close family but still want to celebrate with everyone we love, so we’re throwing a “Just Married!” party a few weeks after we tie the knot. It’s going to be pretty casual and RSVPing is online/telephone.
(I hate that I had to edit out the personal info! It takes away from the whole look.)
What do you think? Cute and casual, or childish and yucky?

It looks a little bit plain on the left. Is there a picture or anything that will go there?

I love them. Simplicity is so “in” right now, it’s refreshing IMO. I think they are adorable!

@Jamcnair: We didn’t get any engagement pictures taken or anything, so I didn’t even consider adding a photo. I was really in love with the negative space, but I’ll run it by my Fiance and see whether he thinks it looks too bare. I really appreciate the suggestion. 🙂
@MrsDrRose612: Thanks! Yay!

I love them! The simplicity makes them look very clean and cute!

I think it looks fantastic, but I have just a couple of notes.
“are” shouldn’t be capitalized because it is part of the sentence.
It should also read
September 1, 2012
Midland, Michigan (I would write out the whole state for aesthetic reasons)
It’s also redudant to say Please Rsvp, since the please is implied in sil vous plait. Just write RSVP by August 10, 2012

I think they are super adorable!!

I think it would be cute if you put your names in those two bubbles on the bottom. Other than that, I think they are very pretty!

I love the negative space. I think a photo would ruin the simplicity of the design, you nailed it!

@misspeanut, @deathbydesign, and @mrsbacon: Thanks! 😀
@louisianablue: Thank you SO much for the suggestions- I made the changes you suggested- What do you think? Should I exclude the “pm” after 5:30? Also, I had edited the zip code out of the first pic in the original post, but I’ll include it here:
@dcdt212: Oh, that would be SO adorable, I wonder if I could do that? The bubbles are part of the Vistaprint design (I didn’t write the “just married!” on the invite, it was designed like that), but I’ll see what I can do. I love that idea!

Even though no one would show up at 5:30 am, I would just leave the pm on the invite. I would also leave the zip code off for aesthetic reasons. Even if they are googling directions, they don’t need the zip code if they have the whole address.
I think they look great!

@MrsDrRose612: I agree with this
They’re lovely and understated.

DON’T ADD A PICTURE!!!!!!!! THAT would make it look childish and yucky! I am not a fan of orange… but i love how simple and cute the invites are 🙂 I can picture them in a kraft colored envelope!
