- Wedding: December 2016
Invitations were an area that I knew early on I did not want to spend much money on. Only a handful of invitations will be cherished by mothers and grandmothers and the rest will ultimately end up in the trash, so why spend $600+ on paper?
That said, we are hoping for a semi-formal/black tie optional wedding and as such the invitations do have to speak to the formality of the occasion. So, I went on Etsy and found a template that suited our theme (Art Deco/Roaring 20s) for $35 and the seller made adjustments to color and wording. From there, we managed to get lucky and catch Vistaprint’s semi-annual sale!
I was a little nervous but the quality is absolutely beautiful.
Private details have been blurred. The large space at the bottom before ‘Dinner and dancing to follow’ is the venue information – on some devices it may look blank versus blurred.
We printed the invitations on their linen paper and the RSVP cards are on 110lb matte cardstock. We saved a bundle by using business cards as our song request cards. We spent less than $200 on everything and could not be more pleased.
