Hello ladies! I’m trying to figure out how many stamps to buy for my invitations. I was hoping to buy them in advance so that I could send out the invites the day I get them in the mail. I ordered them through vistaprint, and they will consist of the following:
- 5″ x 7″ flat linen invitation
- Free 5″ x 7″ envelope
- 5.5″ x 4″ rsvp card, premium white matte stock
- Free 5.5″ x 4″ envelope
Has anyone used these for their invites? If so, your experience could really help me!

Do you have a local post office that can weigh it? That would be the most accurate. We used stamps.com that came with a scale to weigh.

Unless you are going to buy stamps online, you have to go to the post office anyway, so you May as well have them weigh one. Its piece of mind. Don’t trust us internet strangers for this.
FWIW I had the same things go into my envelopes (not vistaprint though) and mine was 8/10 of an oz.
ETA: stamps go down in price next week!

We got our invites from Vistaprint and they sound exactly like yours. We took one to the post office today (I had to mail some packages to people) and it turned out to be less than 3/4 of one ounce with everything, including our return address label. So we just need the regular one ounce stamps. Still, just in case, take one to the post office and have them weigh it. Just to be sure.
