I hope someone can help me out.
I do quite a bit of art so I want to design our own Save the Dates, maybe invitations as well, but definitely save the dates.
So if you upload your own design, can you edit it the same way you would if you chose their design… IE… Fonts, colors, text, etc..
Not sure I am going this route or not, but seriously thinking about it.

if I think I’m understanding your question right, when you upload your own design, you’re essentially uploading an image. you can add text on top of it like if you chose their own design and can add text on top of that. But you can’t edit the picture very much.
When i uploaded my own design, I made it in illustrator, text and all, and uploaded the file. I think you get a lot more control that way.

I made my STD in publisher and then I just uploaded the file to vista print. I didn’t do any editing on their site.

If you’re creating a file, you can not edit it- you upload a pdf, word doc, jpeg, etc. If you need changes, it’s another file upload.
However vistaprint does allow some changes to their invite templates (color, etc.)
If you’re designing yourself, I’d recommend looking at Catprint as well- they have a better paper selection, and higher quality. (Used CP for invites, VP for save the dates, thank yous and programs)
