I went with Staples (but similar paper options) we spring for thick card stock with an eggshell finish. It looked AWESOME!

I think we used the default option for our invitations from Vistaprint. They are fine. Invitations is one place where the price can be outrageous – we didn’t see any need to upgrade or do all that fancy stuff for something that no one will keep other than us and my mom. We got our invitations for $63 including shipping – we just mailed them on Monday and I’ve gotten nothing but favorable responses. I personally don’t think it’s worth it to upgrade.

I used the matte for my save the dates and ordered the wedding sample kit before I ordered my invitations and selected the linen finish. I thought there was a huge difference!

Ordered my shower invites with the linen finish and it was so much nicer than the stock option. Have you looked into cat print though?? I did not like how vistsprint 5×7 is not actually five by seven. It’s much more rectangular.

We also did ours in the linen finish, and they feel so much more expensive than they were! So glad we went with that option.
